  • The NSCNA Winter 2009 newsletter is now available online. The newsletter was given to our printer this Friday and will be printed and mailed out next week. Until then, you can read the new issue here. Some of the topics found inside: details on the Grand Opening of the new library, How to make your own wine, upcoming social events, committee volunteer opportunities, Real Estate statistics for the past year and much more. Thank you to all of the authors and advertisers. We encourage everyone to let the companies who advertise in our newsletter know that you appreciate their support of our neighborhood.

  • At the last Board meeting, Alyssa Hedge passed on a stack of old newsletter related documents. In that stack, we found three of the old newsletters we have been missing. Thank you Alyssa! We now have 41 of the 44 published newsletters and only lack 3 issues from 1996: Issue 1, Issue 3 and a few missing pages from Issue 4. If you happen to run across these old issues, or know someone who might have them, please let Chris Jones know by emailing cejones1@gmail.com or by phone at 587-5193. You can view the archive by clicking here.

Minutes from the Jan 4 meeting were approved. Copies of the October 2008 Bylaws and the January 2009 amendment were circulated for signatures. Signatures from former board members need to be tracked down. Board procedures were reviewed, including a brief overview of Roberts Rules and its modification for small meetings. Standing rules were adopted to:
    • Require a second to motions
    • Allow friendly amendments to motions
    • Draft minutes may be placed on the website.

  • The Board requires all meeting minutes be approved before posting them online. At the January meeting, the past three General meeting minutes were approved. I have placed them online and you can view them by clicking the Minutes tab above or clicking here.
