An Aesthetics Advisory Committee (AAC) is being formed to reflect the identity and values of the community in the project’s aesthetic elements, where possible. The AAC will meet monthly from March through August of 2007 to advise the MoPac 1 project team regarding the aesthetic aspects of various elements of the Loop 1 project, such as noise barriers, retaining walls, plantings, ornamental lighting, and sign structures. The AAC’s input will be collected for the project’s color themes, wall panel design, and landscaping plans. TxDOT will consider the AAC’s input when deciding what actions or recommendations to implement.
If you or someone you know is interested in participating on this committee, you can nominate yourself from their website located at:
The NSCNA board is hoping we have at least one person from our neighborhood join this committee so we can stay well informed on the decisions made by this group. If you are interested and decide to nominate yourself, please let our Beautification Committee Chairperson, Lori Anderson (interiorsbyla @ yahoo dot com) know, so we can help in any way to secure a position on this committee.
