NSCNA will host a forum for Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) Board of Directors candidates on Monday April 15 at 6:30pm at the North Village Library meeting room. Come to hear candidates present their views on this important new election.

Election day is Saturday May 4, 2024 . Early Voting begins Monday, April 22, 2024 and ends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

“The mission of Travis Central Appraisal District, in accordance with the Texas Constitution and the laws of the state, is to provide accurate appraisal of all property in Travis County at one hundred percent market value, equally and uniformly, in a professional, ethical, economical and courteous manner, working to ensure that each taxpayer pays only their fair share of the property tax burden.  The Appraisal District’s primary responsibility is to develop an annual appraisal roll for use by taxing units in imposing ad valorem taxes on property in the district.”

The Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) Board of Directors hires the Chief Appraiser, approves the TCAD budget, approves contracts, and sets general policies. Beginning in July 2024, the TCAD Board of Directors will include 3 directors elected by the voters of Travis County. More information on the May 2024 election, including candidate finance reports, is available online.

After the neighborhood garage sale, please consider donating leftover items to Pillow Elementary’s Supply Pantry.  Furniture, baby items, kids clothes, kitchen items and more can be dropped off in the front office from 8am-3pm.  Please contact Pillow’s Front Office at (512) 414-2350 to arrange drop off of furniture.  Thank you all!
