A document created by City of Austin Planning and Zoning Department staff has been posted on our nscna.org wesite. You will find the document at this link: PlanningProcessGuide
It summarizes the input staff received from participants at the first five planning process meetings. Also in the Planning Process Guide are a draft of North Shoal Creek’s Future Land Use Map (FLUM) on page 22 and, on page 24, the draft FLUM annotated with participants’ comments from meeting #5.
Our 6th planning process meeting is Saturday, April 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the cafeteria at Pillow Elementary School. We’ll be reviewing our draft FLUM, character districts, and transition zones. We also hope the meeting will be an opportunity to check that staff has correctly understood what stakeholders have told them and that stakeholders have understood what staff has told us.
Please review the Planning Process Guide before coming to Meeting #6. If you don’t have time to review the entire document, please look at the maps on pages 22 and 24. They’ll be the major topic of the meeting.

Join us for a conversation about the North Shoal Creek Plan!
There will be an additional meeting for the North Shoal Creek Neighborhood Plan from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at the Pillow Elementary School cafeteria. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure participants’ ideas and concerns are heard before staff begins drafting the plan. There will be a brief review of the draft Future Land Use Map/Character Districts and transition areas. The majority of the meeting will be devoted to a discussion among participants to share ideas and concerns.
As a reminder, all of the presentations and exercise results from the first five meetings are available on the North Shoal Creek Neighborhood Plan Results Page. If you haven’t been able to attend one or more meetings, please take some time to see what you have missed. Also, we always welcome your input on any previous exercise or discussion topic. Just send us an email at Jeffrey.engstrom@austintexas.gov.
Following Meeting #6, staff will be compiling draft plan elements. We will send out an email to this list when each of those elements is released. After collecting comments on all elements, the draft plan will be assembled for a final review period and open house (date TBD).
We hope to see you on Saturday, April 22nd for the discussion session!
Sincerely,
Jeff Engstrom, AICP
