  •  We apologize for the late notice, but those of us interested in CodeNEXT and density bonuses have two opportunities to learn more via two Density Bonus Stakeholder Meetings. The same information will be presented at both meetings:

    Tues., Dec. 6th, 6-7:30 pm
Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office, Room 400A
    1000 E. 11th St., Austin TX 78702

    Wed., Dec. 7th, 8-9:15am
City Hall Executive Session Room, Room 1027
    301 W. 2nd St. Austin, TX 78701

CodeNext staff will present their findings from their analysis of the potential for density bonus programs in Austin. Since density is especially prescribed for corridors and Burnet Road is a corridor, these finding may affect North Shoal Creek (and all the other neighborhoods along Burnet Road).

  • The following is copied from a recent email:

The City of Austin invites you to attend one of two stakeholder meetings to learn about the CodeNEXT process for analyzing the City’s potential density bonuses aimed at producing affordable housing. Consultants will provide preliminary insights about density bonuses in different areas of the city.

As part of their work, the consultants have compiled preliminary development assumptions for areas around the City using CoStar and inputs from local Austin real estate professionals. We invite you to provide input on key assumptions and to review preliminary findings of the density bonus analysis.
