We are hosting our next workday on Saturday Dec 6 from 8AM to 11AM, at the Steck Ave Bridge (Steck Ave and Daleview Dr), and we’d love to see you there!
We will be cleaning up trash along the creek, removing invasive plants, and adding native plants. This Adopt-a-Creek workshop is organized in collaboration with Keep Austin Beautiful and the City of Austin Watershed Department.
We will provide tools and gloves, as well as tacos, but please bring your own water bottle and work appropriate clothing.

Project history: In 2020-2021 , through a collaboration between Westcave Preserve, AISD, and local ecologists, a series of new eco-educational landscape amenities were built around Pillow Park, including new paths, stone block seating circles, and a “sensory garden” path. Today, AISD is working with NSCNA to restore and maintain these gardens for the Pillow and North Shoal Creek communities. Come join us!
Its My Park Day will be the first in a new series of volunteer beautification workdays in our neighborhood that include park improvements and creek cleanups. Contact us if you would like to get more involved and help coordinate these wonderful community events with us.
