The 83rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will take place in Austin this week and travelers in the downtown area should be aware of road closures and potential traffic delays this weekend. With over 50,000 visitors expected to attend this event, closures will take place for the safety of pedestrians in the area.
Access to downtown from I-35 will be maintained but slightly reduced. Closures will take place from 6 pm on Friday, April 2 to 4 am on Saturday, April 3, and again from 2 pm on Saturday, April 3 to 6 am on Sunday, April 4. Below is a link to complete list of road closures for both days.
Each year, the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays brings together the best high school, college and professional athletes from Texas, the U.S. and the world. The event runs March 31 through April 3, and is held at the Mike A. Myers Stadium, on the UT campus.
